what to expect
We gather on Sundays for one main reason: to worship God!
Here's how we worship God together in our Sunday services . . .
Worship in Song
We begin worshiping God together through singing. The music style ranges from upbeat and contemporary to rich, traditional hymns. People are often expressive in their singing worship because the God to whom we sing is so great!
Worship in the Scripture
Our worship continues as a pastor teaches from the Bible in a way that is relevant for our lives. What's important about that is not who is preaching, but what's being preached. God meets us wonderfully and powerfully in his word (Ps. 19.7-9)! We also like to let God's word set the agenda for our teaching diet, so our typical practice is to be preaching through a particular book of the Bible.
Worship in Sacrament (& song)
We often end our time together with communion, or the "Lord's Supper", and a closing song. We like closing our times regularly with the Lord's Supper, since that way we end with our attention focused more on what Jesus has done than what we need to do.
The service ends around 11:30 a.m., but many people hang out to enjoy being together. Light refreshments will be served, so please stick around if you can. And, we're a casual group so come as you are!
